Registration:

Direct Members and Members of AFGA Affiliated Clubs have access to a discount on their conference registration fee. The event registration pricing for members has the discounts incorporated. 

Note: when registering you may have to input your email address and check your junk folder for the confirmation for your password before you can complete the registration process for the conference. 

  • Tradeshow & Conference (Early bird, Member) – $350+ GST
  • Tradeshow & Conference (Early bird, non-Member) – $390+ GST
  • Tradeshow & Conference (Early bird, Post-Secondary Student) – $275+ GST
  • Conference Companion (Early bird) – $325+ GST
  • Youth Program Participant Ages 12 – 17 (Early bird) – $245+ GST

Registration for the event closes on February 9, 2024

All conference registration includes: 
  • Thursday: Access to our Tradeshow Welcome Reception (dinner included)
  • Friday: Conference educational sessions, including lunch and dinner
  • Saturday: Tickets to the President’s Dinner (lunch will provided for AGM delegates at Medalta; all other conference attendees will receive a $25 food voucher to be used at a participating location in Medicine Hat)
  • A conference tote bag with items from event sponsors

Youth and Companion Schedules

Both Youth and Companion Programs will have a short Meet & Greet session on Thursday evening during our tradeshow. Bring your Smartphone (or partner with someone who has one) for the chance to participate in a digital Goose Chase!

Youth Program 

The youth will attend this year’s keynote address at the conference on Friday morning. Medalta programs they will participate in include a tour of the facility and a hands-on clay workshop. Other offerings include a Field to Fork presentation, learning about some of the AFGA programs in Alberta, building survival kits, and a presentation on bear safety. We will also enjoy an afternoon of swimming at the Holiday Inn Pool.  

Companion Program 

The Companion program will enjoy a tour of Medalta, a Field to Fork presentation, and a Pottery class on Friday (bring an apron and/or old clothes!). On Saturday, we will participate in a planting workshop with a local greenhouse and participants will also take part in a wine tasting. Companion Program participants will also attend the Conference Banquet on Friday Night and the President’s Dinner on Saturday.

Auction Item Donation:

The Alberta Fish and Game Association is seeking donations for items to be auctioned off on Friday night during either auction. Charitable donation receipts will be available upon request. 

Tradeshow Booths:

Our Welcome Reception will kickoff with our Tradeshow at Medalta from 6 p.m to  9:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

Each AFGA Zone will be permitted one free tradeshow booth to highlight exciting activities from the various clubs located in their zone. 

There are an additional 20 Tradeshow booths available to purchase for a vendor-friendly price of $500 per booth plus GST.

Every registration in our open-concept tradeshow includes one table and two chairs for the two booth exhibitors who will be present at their exhibit. Standup banners within your exhibit space are encouraged to promote your organization!  

Call For Event Presenters

The AFGA is looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable presenters to speak about wildlife and habitat conservation at this year’s Conservation Conference.
