Conservation Camps

The Alberta Fish & Game Association conducts several youth conservation camps and an outdoor woman’s program each year.  These camps offer such courses as Hunter Education, the Canadian Firearms Safety course as well as the Boat Safety course.  In addition, activities include such things as canoeing, archery, rifle, pistol, shotgun, and blackpowder shooting, wilderness overnight camping/practicing outdoor survival skills, swimming, and fishing.  The winter camp offers such things as snowshoeing, ice fishing, snow shelter building, and winter survival skills.  The Becoming an Outdoor Woman’s program is designed for ladies interested in taking part in a myriad of outdoor activities they have never tried but would like to, or beginners wanting to improve upon their skills.  These activities include, but are not limited to archery, rifle/pistol/shotgun shooting, canoeing, outdoor cooking, survival skills and fish filleting.  Check out the various camps noted below and register for the camp of your choice.
